Garry Buckley is a Wellington-based artist practising in the pop surreal genre. His work is character-centric, with a focus on presenting animals as religious deities and icons. His work is internationally exhibited and he has contributed to shows in Berlin as part of the Pictoplasma All-Stars 2014 Academy, Delusional 2017 show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery New York, Haven Gallery New York and also at home in Wellington as a member of White Cloud Worlds at numerous shows. Garry works full time in the Wellington film industry but takes time to practice his personal work in his spare time.
